Opening of the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program

On June 20, 2016 yesterday, the Faculty of Letters received a number of students from the United States. The opening ceremony which took place in the FS hall and was officially opened by the Dean of the FS, Prof. Utami Widiati, MA, Ph.D, took place with great intimacy. Their arrival at the Faculty of Letters is in the context of the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) program, a collaboration between the Faculty of Letters-BIPA UM and the American Council. While at the Faculty of Letters, these students studied Indonesian language and culture. In addition, they will also learn to dance, sing, make batik, and also learn gamelan music which is the culture of Javanese society.
