Academic Guidelines

Pedoman Pendidikan 2018/2019

The Education Guidelines for the State University of Malang (UM) for the 2018/2019 Academic Year are an improvement to the UM Education Guidelines for the 2017/2018 Academic Year. This Education Guidelines contains basic rules and regulations relating to educational and learning activities for all educational programs organized by the State University of Malang. In detail, these Guidelines contain provisions and descriptions of the type of education, academic administration system, educational programs, academic provisions, and management of educational program administration.

In refining the Education Guidelines, the emphasis is on (a) adjusting the curriculum to Presidential Regulation Number 8 of 2012 concerning the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI); (b) the issuance of Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 49 of 2014 concerning National Education Standards; (c) synchronizing and unifying the academic administration system of undergraduate, master and doctoral academic education programs with professional education programs and vocational education programs; (d) provisions for implementing PPL and KKN; (e) management and academic management of Masters and Doctoral Programs in Faculties and Departments and the use of the online system in academic and student administration.

The main references for the preparation of these Education Guidelines include the Academic Year 2017/2018 UM Education Guidelines, Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, Government Regulation Number 4 of 2014 concerning the Implementation of Higher Education and Management of Higher Education, Presidential Regulation Number 8 of 2012 concerning the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 30 of 2012 concerning the Organization and Administration of the National Examination, Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 71 of 2012 concerning UM Statutes, Decrees The Minister of National Education Number 232 / U / 2000 concerning Guidelines for Higher Education Curriculum Development and Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes, and Number 045 / U / 2002 concerning Higher Education Core Curriculum.

These Education Guidelines are binding and apply to all academicians of State University of Malang, which include course supervisors, Academic Advisors (PA) lecturers, students and educational program participants at UM, structural officials, and educational staff involved in implementing all educational programs at UM. . As a complement to the Education Guidelines for the 2018/2019 Academic Year, the regulations and provisions for education and teaching are published separately, which are an integral part of this Education Guidelines, namely (1) UM Catalog; (2) the Faculty Catalog which includes the Catalog of FIP, FS, FMIPA, FE, FT, FIK, FIS, and FPPsi; (3) Postgraduate Catalog; (4) a number of Instructions for Implementing Field Experience Practices; (5) KKN Implementation Guidelines; (6) Code of Ethics; and (7) Guidelines for Writing Scientific Papers, Administration of Campus Life.

Hopefully these guidelines can function effectively as they should.
