VISION, MISSION, OBJECTIVE

Faculty of Letters (FS) is one of the academic executing elements of the State University of Malang (UM). As a university academic executing element, FS has the task of organizing educational and teaching activities, research, and community service in the fields of language and literature, art and design and learning.

Based on the noble values that have been set, the FS determines the vision, mission and objectives as basic guidelines in carrying out the development of the FS.

To become a superior faculty and a reference in the implementation of the tridharma of higher education in linguistics, literature, art, and design in the fields of education and non-education.

  1. Organizing education and learning in linguistics, literature, art, and design in the field of education and non-education which is centered on students by using an effective learning approach and optimizing the use of technology.
  2. Carrying out research in linguistics, literature, art, and design in the educational and non-educational fields whose findings are beneficial for the development of science and the welfare of society.
  3. Organizing community service in linguistics, literature, art, and design in educational and non-educational fields that are oriented towards community learning.
  4. Organizing accountable and transparent faculty meetings to ensure continuous quality improvement.

In order to realize the vision and mission that has been set, the following four points are formulated.

  1. To produce graduates who are intelligent, religious, have noble, independent, and are able to develop professionally in linguistics, literature, art, and design in the educational and non-educational fields;
  2. Producing scientific works and creative works that excel in linguistics, literature, art, and design in the educational and non-educational fields;
  3. To produce community service works in linguistics, literature, art, and design in the educational and non-educational fields to create an independent, productive, and prosperous society;
  4. Producing effective, efficient, and accountable faculty performance in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.
