Bakti Literasi, Sosialisasi Literasi Melalui Pameran Karya Sastra dan Kearifan Lokal Topeng Malang

Literasi merupakan kemampuan dalam membaca, menulis, berhitung, dan berbicara. Literasi sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari guna meningkatkan kualitas diri karena di dalamnya melibatkan pengetahuan bahasa, kognitif, genre, dan kultural. Literasi memiliki hubungan dekat dengan budaya karena melalui literasi, bahasa yang terkandung dalam budaya dapat tersalurkan. Sebagai generasi muda kita perlu mempertahankan dan meningkatkan eksistensi literasi dan budaya khususnya kearifan lokal. Oleh karena itu, HMD Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Malang mengadakan pengabdian bertajuk Bakti Literasi 2023 dengan tema “Gebyar Literasi Guna Menghidupi Eksistensi Kearifan Lokal Melalui Pameran Karya Sastra dan Topeng Malang” yang bertempat di SMP Diponegoro Tumpang dan Candi Jago, Kabupaten Malang.

Bakti Literasi 2023 dilaksanakan selama dua hari, tepatnya pada Rabu (2/8/2023) dan Sabtu (5/8/2023). Kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan literasi karya sastra berupa puisi dan literasi budaya berupa Topeng Malang. Tujuannya agar peserta memiliki pengetahuan luas dan mampu memahami isu di sekitar, sehingga dapat berperan dalam meningkatkan generasi literasi dan meningkatkan rasa peduli akan kelestarian budaya. Tidak hanya itu, kegiatan Bakti Literasi juga membuka donasi berupa buku dan uang untuk melakukan bedah perpustakaan sebagai upaya peningkatan literasi siswa SMP Diponegoro Tumpang. Proses bedah perpustakaan telah dilaksanakan sejak 28 Juli hingga 1 Agustus 2023 di perpustakaan milik SMP Diponegoro Tumpang.

Hari pertama Bakti Literasi mengadakan kegiatan lokakarya puisi dan Topeng Malang dengan menggandeng 60 siswa SMP Diponegoro. Lokakarya tersebut mendatangkan pemateri dari Universitas Negeri Malang, yaitu Dr. Dwi Sulistyorini, S.S., M.Hum. sebagai pemateri karya sastra puisi. Sedangkan untuk Topeng Malang, mendatangkan seorang seniman yaitu Drs. Soerjo Wido Minarto, M.Pd. Para peserta aktif mengikuti kegiatan cipta puisi secara individu untuk menghasilkan puisi-puisi yang indah. Kearifan lokal berupa Topeng Malang juga diajarkan dengan mengajak para peserta melukis topeng secara berpasangan. Hasilnya terdapat 30 topeng yang beraneka ragam sebagai bentuk kreativitas mereka. Kegiatan lokakarya dilakukan dari pagi hingga sore hari bertempat di aula SMP Diponegoro Tumpang. Kegiatan Bakti Literasi hari pertama juga berisi peresmian perpustakaan hasil dari kegiatan bedah perpustakaan yang dihadiri oleh Moh. Safii, S.Kom., M.Hum., selaku sekretaris Departemen Sastra Indonesia UM, Adi Prasetyawan, S.Sos., M.A. selaku pembina HMD Sastra Indonesia UM, kedua pemateri, dan para guru pendamping dari SMP Diponegoro Tumpang.

Bakti Literasi hari kedua diwujudkan dalam bentuk pameran karya sastra dan topeng malang yang telah dibuat oleh para peserta pada hari pertama dengan menggandeng berbagai pihak. Pameran ini dilaksanakan di Candi Jago, Kecamatan Tumpang, Kabupateng Malang pada hari Sabtu (5/8/23) sejak sore hingga malam hari  yang bekerja sama dengan SMP Diponegoro Tumpang dan SMK Diponegoro Tumpang. Selain memamerkan karya sastra dan topeng malang yang telah disusun dan ditata sedemikian rupa di kawasan Candi Jago, HMD Sastra Indonesia juga mengundang beberapa pengisi acara untuk memeriahkan kegiatan ini. Acara dibuka dengan tampilan tari kontemporer yang indah dari siswa SMP Diponegoro. Kemudian dilanjutkan penampilan pembacaan puisi oleh peserta dengan puisi terbaik. Menjelang malam hari, ditampilkan pula musikalisasi puisi oleh mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia.

Tidak berhenti begitu saja, Bakti Literasi juga mengundang mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia yang aktif dalam kegiatan bernyanyi, yakni Firdausi Nuzula (Uus) dan Nadia Amalia (Nanad). Mereka menyanyikan beberapa lagu populer bersama para penonton dengan suara emasnya. Tak kalah menarik, Galuh Berliant juga menampilkan performance art pada acara ini dengan totalitas. Performance art tersebut menafsirkan kejamnya kekerasan dalam rumah tangga yang terjadi kepada para istri.. Para warga sekitar dan juga tamu undangan yang hadir dalam kegiatan ini juga diajak berpartisipasi untuk memeriahkan acara. Ada beberapa pengunjung yang menampilkan keahlian mereka dalam bernyanyi di sela-sela pameran.

Bukan hanya penampilan-penampilan yang menakjubkan, terdapat pula pembagian hadiah bagi para pengunjung yang beruntung. Hadiah yang diberikan merupakan kerja sama dengan pihak sponsor yaitu Wika Cell dan Malang Caroline. Acara Bakti Literasi berjalan dengan sukses dan lancar dengan dukungan dari berbagai pihak, kerja keras para panitia, dan partisipasi banyak orang. Kegiatan ditutup oleh Moch. Fitoni Hadi selaku Ketua Umum HMD Sastra Indonesia di malam hari.
