Kota Malang – Departemen Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Sastra Universitas Negeri Malang mengadakan diskusi ilmiah bertema Potensi Kecerdasan Buatan Untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa, 25 Juli 2023 dan bertempat di Aula AVA Gedung D14 Fakultas Sastra.
Dalam acara yang berlangsung pada pagi hingga siang hari ini, hadir sebagai pembicara utama yakni Prof. Dr. Ir. Richardus Eko Indrajit, M.Sc, M.Phil, M.A. yang kini menjabat sebagai rektor Universitas Pradita. Dirinya yang juga merupakan tokoh pendidikan dan pakar teknologi informatika turut didampingi oleh Dekan Fakultas Sastra, Dr. Moch. Syahri , S.Sos, M.Si. Sedangkan sebagai peserta diskusi, hadir puluhan dosen dan mahasiswa pascasarjana dari Departemen Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Sastra.
Kegiatan diawali oleh sambutan dekan Fakultas Sastra. Dalam sambutan sekaligus pembukaanya, Dr. Moch. Syahri , S.Sos, M.Si. menyambut baik adanya diskusi mengenai AI khususnya di dunia pendidikan yang menimbulkan problematika antara menerima atau menolaknya. Tak lupa, dirinya juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada hadirin yang sudah meluangkan waktu di hari libur dan berharap kegiatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat yang nyata.
Acara kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemberian cenderamata sebelum memasuki sesi inti, yakni paparan dan diskusi. Namun sebelumnya, Curriculum Vitae dari pemateri juga turut dibacakan oleh moderator sekaligus pembawa acara pada kegiatan ini, yakni Dr. Didin Widyartono S.S., S.Pd., M.Pd.
Sesi diskusi ilmiah berlangsung secara menarik dan interaktif. Prof. Dr. Ir. Richardus Eko Indrajit, M.Sc, M.Phil, M.A. sebagai narasumber mengawali diskusi dengan tebak lagu sebelum mengaitkannya dengan kecerdasan buatan yang menimbulkan pro dan kontra. Lebih lanjut, ia juga memaparkan mengenai masalah pada sistem pendidikan baik dulu dan kini yang ternyata sudah menggunakan teknologi, mulai dari dikte, tulis papan, fotokopi, ketikan, internet, hingga ChatGPT.
Diskusi ilmiah kian terasa hidup ketika memasuki topik cybergogy atau era pendidikan siber. Di sini, narasumber yang juga aktif sebagai pengurus besar PGRI tersebut menekankan bahwa teknologi dalam pendidikan berperan untuk menambah opsi interaksi, peserta didik, pendidik, serta lingkungan belajar yang merupakan keempat variabel pembelajaran. Dirinya juga menambahkan jika dalam prakteknya, penggunaan kecerdasan buatan harus melihat subjek dan dampaknya. Apabila hasilnya bagus maka teruskan dan sebaliknya, apabila tidak efektif maka tinggalkan saja.
Paparan dan diskusi yang berlangsung selama kurang lebih dua jam ini kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mencoba serta pemberian tips penggunaan AI, seperti membuat soal dengan Chat GPT serta cara untuk menghindari kecurangannya. Prof. Dr. Ir. Richardus Eko Indrajit, M.Sc, M.Phil, M.A. yang telah menerbitkan ratusan buku ini pun menutup acara dengan memberikan kesimpulan bahwa kecerdasan buatan adalah alat untuk membuka ide baru, mengurangi beban administrasi, serta menciptakan sistem kurikulum individu atau personalised curriculum.
