  1. Vision, Mission and Objectives of the Study Program

 

VISION

The vision of the Dance and Music Education Study Program in 2018 becomes a reference for the Regional level and in 2022 becomes a reference for excellence at the National level in its function as a professional arts education worker (dance, music, drama) who cares about human values, is oriented to local culture, and equal distribution and expansion of access for the community.

 

MISSION

  1. Organizing quality education and learning to produce bachelors of art education, especially dance, music who have competencies according to the needs of the community based on local culture.
  2. Organizing education and learning that produces superior educational staff in the field of cultural arts learning which includes dance, music, fine arts and theater to meet the needs of education personnel at the junior, senior high school level and the equivalent and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in the arts, especially entrepreneurs in the art of dance.
  3. Fostering enthusiasm, motivation, and participation of the academic community in order to produce quality scientific papers and works of art (dance, music and drama), which have competitiveness for improving academic quality as well as conservation and development of traditional arts.
  4. To become a service provider for the development and revitalization of art (tradition) in the global era by presenting an art education curriculum (dance and music), research and writing of various scientific works based on local wisdom characterized by national character that can be accessed by utilizing modern technology / IT.
  5. Improve the quality and competitiveness of graduates of dance education personnel through creative and innovative community service activities.
  6. Fostering a competitive spirit in creating arts (dance, music and drama) at regional, national and international levels.
  7. Building a healthy family-based organization through strengthening governance, transparency, accountability, responsibility, fairness and public image

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

The Dance and Music Education Study Program aims to produce educational teaching staff in the arts of dance and music who have competency profiles: 1) religious and moral in Pancasila and have high personal integrity and virtue and character in accordance with the cultural character of the Indonesian nation, (2) being open, responsive to changes in advances in science and technology and art as well as problems faced by society, especially those related to the areas of expertise in dance and or music education, (3) being able to apply knowledge in accordance with the areas of expertise in dance and music to society in the form of creative and productive activities as a form of service to the education community and the general public, (4) mastering the scientific basics and knowledge and methodology in dance and music education so that they are able to find, understand, explain and formulate ways to solve problems in the scope of dance and music education, (5) ) master das scientific basics so that they are able to think, behave and act as scientists and are able to follow the development of science and technology in accordance with their fields of expertise, (6) produce graduates who have professional qualifications in dance and music, are forward-looking and aware of changes in the function of performing arts in Public

 

 

  1. Graduate Profile

Profile of graduates of the Dance and Music Education Study Program, namely Bachelor of dance and music who fear the Almighty God who masters the art of performance between dance and music, is skilled at designing, implementing, evaluating, and solving various problems in learning dance and music at the level SMP and SMA education, and has the ability to develop additional skills based on dance and music in accordance with the development of science and technology in various professions according to the needs of society

Graduate profiles are made on the basis of several considerations, namely:

  • Nowadays, graduates are needed who are able to develop competence in their field of study on the basis of capability in the business world and independence
  • The field of study that refers to the scientific field has experienced great diversification, therefore it requires graduates who can consider the application of the professional field in society
  • Government policies that place the professional expertise of graduates are not always in the appropriate field, but are expected to be able to become a starting point for personal development and leadership that can be independently applied in various fields of agencies.
  • Consideration of the evaluation results of graduates for the last 5 (five) years, shows that the graduates of dance and music education study programs are involved in the world of business in the field of expertise or in the creative service business.

 

  1. SCPL formulation
  • Mastering the theoretical concepts of dance performance independently and comprehensively so as to have the optimal ability to innovate critically according to artistic standards based on religious norms and professional ethics by utilizing developments in knowledge and technology so that they can contribute to life
  • Mastering the theoretical concept of performing music independently and comprehensively so that it has the optimal ability to innovate critically according to artistic standards based on religious norms and professional ethics by utilizing the development of knowledge and technology so that it can contribute to social and state life
  • master the concepts and procedures of art education at the junior and senior high school levels in the field of dance and music capable of implementing a comprehensive learning process independently in accordance with the latest developments in knowledge and technology through logical, critical, systematic and innovative thinking based on religious norms, professional ethics and art conventions .
  • Mastering theoretical studies, social problematics methods, and being able to put them in the form of scientific papers that can be accounted for based on principles, national and international publications.
  • Mastering the concepts, principles of performing arts and music entrepreneurs independently and being able to apply the presentation of performing arts in a professional manner by utilizing responsible information technology in accordance with religious, social and aesthetic values.
