Stage I: Initial Determination

The 250 potential winners who were selected at the initial stage must send the required documents later

Phase II: Final Determination

Determination of 100 scholarship winners who are entitled to receive IDR 3,000,000 / semester

  • The selection process is carried out by the BCA Finance Selection Team
  • The decision on the result of acceptance is absolute and cannot be contested and we do not receive any correspondence during the process and after the winner's decision

The requirements that must be met by prospective scholarship recipients are as follows:

  • Undergraduate students (S1) in all majors
  • At least have / are completing semester 2 and not more than semester 8
  • Minimum GPA: 3.20 (PTN) and 3.40 (PTS
  • Last IPS Minimum: 3.00 (PTN) and 3.20 (PTS)
  • Not currently receiving a scholarship from any scholarship provider
  • Active in Organizing (Student Affairs / Youth Organization / Other Non-Political Organizations)
  • Never been involved in criminal / civil cases, as well as drug abuse (narcotics, psychotropic and addictive substances)

Sosialisasi Pertukaran Mahasiswa Program 3+1

3 + 1 Student Exchange Program Socialization

The 3 + 1 program is an exchange program between students of the Chinese Language Education Study Program and Guangxi Normal University, where learning is carried out at partner universities for one year without reducing the number of credits taken by students. In other words, students take courses for two semesters or one year at a partner university in accordance with the entry year curriculum contract. Students who can take part in the program for the next one year are students of class 2017 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and are willing to comply with the residence permit procedures in China and the regulations at Guangxi Normal University, added the Koorprodi of Mandarin Education, Drs. The socialization which was held on Saturday, May 19 2018 in the Hall of Building E6, Faculty of Letters UM was attended by 28 Study Program students. Mandarin Language Education. Accompanied by parents, this activity aims to provide knowledge of the 3 + 1 Student Exchange Cooperation Program and insight into partner universities and what are the benefits of joining this program. Described by Dr. Primardiana HW, M.Pd, as Deputy Dean 1 for Academic Affairs, FS UM, that the 3 + 1 program provides learning experiences in Mandarin by interacting in the midst of Chinese society, which certainly makes an impression for our students.

Some questions related to residence permits, costs during the program, insurance, security, and airplane tickets were raised by the parents and then answered by the Vice Dean 1, Deputy Dean 2, Katua Department of German Literature, and the Koorprodi of Mandarin Education in turn that students need to prepare Passports, visas, and lodging and meals costs that are not much different from Malang City. Passports can be handled by yourself, while visas and insurance can be deposited with the UM International Relations Unit based on the recommendation of the Faculty of Letters. UKT is still paid to UM at the beginning of each semester according to the amount of UKT for each student because at Guangxi Normal University students are no longer charged.

In addition to WD 1, there are 25 students of Guangxi Normal University who are interested in studying at UM but can only be accepted by 10 people because the international student accommodation capacity is already filled with students from other countries so that the number of FS students sent to Guangxi Normal University must be balanced by 10 person. For this reason, registration for the 3 + 1 Program is open from 21 May 2018 until the quota of 10 students is met. The next schedule is the arrangement of Passports, Visas, and Airplane Tickets which start from July to departure in early September 2018.

Preparation and Release of 17 PPL Students to Thailand

A total of 15 students of the Faculty of Letters and 2 students of the State University of Malang Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences were given advice in the debriefing event and the release of PPL students to Thailand by the leadership of the UM Letters Faculty. By Mrs. Utami Widiati as Dean and Mrs. Primardiana as Deputy Dean I together with the heads of departments and students to coordinate before departure to Thailand. The lecturers of the Faculty of Letters advised the students to always be careful and always uphold nature while in Thailand. And it is also hoped that they will be able to explore knowledge and experience while implementing PPL in the land of the white elephant.

The RAS Band group consisting of lecturers from the Department of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang also enlivened the 2018 Sastraswati event. The theme raised in this activity was "cross-generational music". RAS Band personnel consist of Prof. Dr. Maryaeni, M. Pd, Mustofa Kamal, S. Pd, Indra Suherjanto, S. Pd, M. Sn, Muhammad Zaini, SSM Pd, representing the "old" generation community in the Faculty of Letters. Several songs are sung as aesthetic expressions which are intended as a form of balance between the academic and non-academic climate. With the creation of this balance, the expression of learning while working can be realized.
