The Student Association of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program Student Council Department of Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of Language and Literature, Makassar State University (Himaprodi PBSI DEMA JBSI FBS UNM) plans to hold a Seminar on Indonesian Language and Literature with the theme "Cultural Responsive Indonesian Language and Literature for Strengthening National Character in the Industrial Era 4.0 ". The "Narrative 2018" Language and Literature Seminar was held with the aim of exploring academic ideas from lecturers, students, teachers, and language observers. Not only that, this activity was also formulated with the intention of being a form of language development and character education in Indonesia.
The seminar was held on 17-18 November 2018 with three main speakers. The speakers included, Prof. Imam Suyitno, M.Pd is a professor of the Department of Indonesian Literature, FS UM, Prof. Dr. A Suminto Sayuti is a professor at the Department of Indonesian Literature, UNY, and Dr. Salam, M.Pd is a lecturer at PBSI, Makassar State University. Furthermore, the paper presentation event was attended by 75 papers by speakers from all over Indonesia. There were two teams selected for the delegation from State University of Malang. First, the team from Asyifa Alifia and Fatimatuz Zahro are students of Indonesian literature class 2015. Second, the team from Ary Kusuma Wardhani and Claudia Larassati, students of Indonesian language, literature, and regional education class 2016. With this activity it is hoped that today's students will be more creative, active, and innovative. Besides that, keep learning and dare to work to develop one's potential.

The Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Communication, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor held scientific activities, Call for Paper, Seminar, Workshop and Literacy Festival with the theme "Local Knowledge Literacy as a Solution to Disinformation in Local Perspectives". This activity is intended to provide knowledge on the importance of local local knowledge in empowering literacy education for the community to avoid the threat of disinformation.

Wednesday, September 5 2018 the Department of Art and Design held an event called One Day with the theme "Kondangan, Lur". This year, the One Day event has been held for the sixth time. Involving the participation of students of the 2017 Art and Design Department as performers and committee members. The participants of the One Day event are not only filled by the 2017 class, but also the 2018 and upper generations.
This "invitation" begins with a parade to enter the D7 and D8 park areas, which consist of officials from the Department of Art and Design along with their friends and new students. Then the event was opened with a speech from Dr. Hariyanto, M.Hum as the Head of the Art and Design Department, Abdul Rahman Prasetyo, S.Pd., M.Pd as the supervisor of HMJ Art and Design, Askha Bulkafi as the head of HMJ Art and Design and Nisrina Aulia H as the Chief Executive of One Day vol. 6.
One Day vol.6 this time entitled "Kondangan, Lur!" which has the meaning of tying intimately between new students 2018 and art. In addition, we also want to welcome the 2018 new students with happy euphoria, such as euphoria in marriage. Meanwhile, the brotherhood that is meant in this event is not brotherhood established by blood ties, but a very strong inner relationship like brothers by blood relations. This strong inner knot is the basis for the enthusiasm of all Art and Design students to continue making works and making art activities inside and outside the State University of Malang.
One Day vol.6 does not only hold exhibitions but also displays various types of performing arts, both music and dance, created by Art and Design students. Overall, the works displayed reflect the diversity of cultures in Indonesia which are packaged and adapted to today's culture.
Overall the One Day vol.6 event went well and was a success. There were no significant obstacles during the event. The enthusiasm of new students at the One Day vol.6 event was very good. This is evidenced by the large number of new students seeing the exhibition and seeing the performances presented. The event was closed with a final musical performance.

English Fun Weekend is an annual routine agenda which is held a month after PKKMB university is completed. However, in general, the purpose of holding this event is to introduce English Literature students to their majors with a more relaxed atmosphere, as well as familiarize themselves with the previous generation of students, as a form of practicing the principle of kinship, or in other organizations it is often known as a night of intimacy. The agenda of the event is designed with consideration of the educational side, the potential for creativity, togetherness, and will not forget the efforts to increase tolerance for differences which is now a tough issue in social life. In this event, it is hoped that the participants who take part will get useful and unforgettable experiences, as well as get many relationships which will be very important for social life, both on campus and outside affairs. This event was attended by around 45 new students.
The theme of the 2018 English Fun Weekend is "Grasp the Tightrope and Hop to The Feas."The theme of EFW 2018 is 'Carnival Party' with the title 'Grasp The Tightrope and Hop To The Feast'. This theme was chosen because carnival shows joy and happiness. Carnival exists to entertain and relieve sadness. Carnival is also a place for various kinds of people to meet and gather to get happiness. This theme emphasizes that someone is not afraid to be themselves even though they are different from others. Success starts with differences that bring change. The activities held in the English Fun Weekend are a game model and an educational intimacy event. The 2018 English Fun Weekend (EFW) is held on the day / date. Saturday-Sunday, September 29-30 2018, at the Shallom Villa (Jalan Pemancar TVRI, RT 01 RW 01, Oro-oro Ombo, Batu, East Java).

The Library Science Scientific Forum (Rumilus) was the opening ceremony for the 2018 Language and Literature Month. Various series of events were prepared and designed differently for the excitement of the event as the opening of this year's Language and Literature Month activities. "There is nothing different from last year's Rumilus competition format. Everything is the same, except for the competition level which we have raised to the national level. " said Iqbal as the Formula One team. Taking place at AVA Hall, Faculty of Letters, the opening was lively. Starting with remarks, beating the gong as a sign of the opening of the Language and Literature Month activities, until dances were presented to the Rumilus participants as a warm welcome to the committee.
Followed by more than 30 participants, Rumilus became the only national level competition in Language and Literature Month. More than 30 participants were divided into two branches of the Formula competition, namely the Scientific Writing Competition and the Poster Competition. Various participants came from North Sumatra. "Apart from being a competition event, I hope that this event can be a medium to meet and miss fellow Library Science students throughout Indonesia." said one participant. Formula program lasts for two days. The library workshop was the closing of the Formula competition, as well as the awarding of the winners. (Larasati / JSI)

Legato Training Motivation (LATIVA) adalah salah kegiatan tahunan yang diselenggarakan oleh HMJ Sastra Inggris Legato dengan tujuan menyambut dan memberikan motivasi kuliah kepada mahasiswa baru Sastra Inggris, dan berbagi tips seputar beasiswa tingkat S1 oleh para narasumber yang pastinya sudah berpengalaman dan menginspirasi. Acara ini bertemakan “Your life is about to be INCREDIBLE (innovative, creative, dynamic, and remarkable), go beyond your comfort zone”.
Acara ini dikemas secara ringkas dan menarik, serta diadakan setelah ibadah Sholat Jumat, sehingga acara ini diharapkan dapat diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa baru Sastra Inggris.
Acara Legato Training Motivation ini memiliki manfaat praktis yang bisa langsung dirasakan oleh panitia acara, pemateri, dan peserta. Manfaat bagi panitia acara yaitu menyambung tali silaturahmi, mempererat kerja sama tim, belajar menyelesaikan masalah dalam organisasi, dan belajar untuk mensukseskan tujuan bersama. Manfaat bagi pemateri yaitu adanya ruang bagi mereka untuk berbagi ilmu dan pengalaman. Sedangkan manfaat bagi peserta yaitu mendapatkan teman baru, ilmu, dan pengalaman yang baik.
Acara ini dilaksanakan pada hari Jumat, 21 September 2018 yang bertempat di Aula E6 Fakultas Sastra Universitas Negeri Malang. Acara ini dihadiri sekitar 175 peserta dan 60 panitia.
