Such is the case with the collaborative effort between Prof. Dra. Hj. Utami Widiati, M.A., Ph.D., and Dr. Tengku Intan Suzila Tengku Sharif, M.Sc., from Universitas Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. Together, they embarked on a transformative research journey from April 6, 2023, to November 10, 2023, focusing on “Indonesian Undergraduate EFL Students’ Responses to the Implementation of the Critical Global Literacy (CGL) Framework: A Case Study.”

On September 8, 2023, the Faculty of Letters at Universitas Negeri Malang had the privilege of hosting a distinguished guest lecturer, Prof. Ali Saukah from Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. The theme of his lecture, “Research Design and Data Analysis within Quantitative Approach,” drew a diverse audience of students, scholars, and researchers eager to delve into the intricacies of this vital aspect of academic research.

Prof. Ali Saukah’s reputation as an authority in research design and quantitative data analysis is well-established. With a wealth of knowledge acquired through years of academic and practical experience, his presence was highly anticipated, and he did not disappoint.

KEGIATAN KUNJUNGAN STUDI BANDING TIM MBKM FS UM DALAM RANGKA MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PENGELOLAAN MBKM

Tim MBKM Fakultas Sastra Universitas Negeri Malang yang berjumlah 10 orang pada hari Rabu, 9 September 2023 melakukan kunjungan studi banding ke Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP). Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada pukul 10:00-12:00 di ruang Rapat Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Diponegoro. Kunjungan Studi Banding ini memiliki tujuan seperti yang disampaikan oleh Evynurul Laily Zen, S.S., M.A., Ph.D selaku Wakil Dekan 1 FS UM, untuk melaksanakan diskusi ilmiah tentang sistem pengelolaan MBKM antara lain kebijakan MBKM, Kurikulum MBKM dan Manajemen MBKM. Kegiatan diawali dengan sambutan yang disampaikan oleh dekan FIB UNDIP Dr. Nurhayati, M.Hum beliau memaparkan mengenai sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Budaya UNDIP dan sistem pembelajaran MBKM yang diterapkan di FIB UNDIP. Sambutan kedua disampaikan oleh Evynurul Laily Zen, S.S., M.A., Ph.D beliau memaparkan mengenai maksud dan tujuan kegiatan kunjungan dan keinginan untuk menjalankan kerjasama dalam bidang pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Sedangkan pemaparan proses pelaksanaan MBKM dijelaskan oleh Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M.Hum. beliau sebagai wakil dekan 1 bidang Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan. Beliau menyampaikan bahwa pada tahun 2022 berdasarkan data pada PDDIKTI kegiatan MBKM UNDIP dinilai baik. Semenjak program MBKM diluncurkan pada tahun 2019 UNDIP merevisi kurikulum menjadi kurikulum MBKM. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar lebih memudahkan atau memberikan keleluasaan kepada Prodi untuk membuka dan mengkonversi matakuliah bagi mahasiswa yang mengikuti MBKM. Kegiatan MBKM pada FIB UNDIP tidak hanya mengkonversi matakuliah yang belum pernah diambil namun juga dapat digunakan untuk mengkonversi matakuliah yang telah diambil namun mendapat nilai yang kurang memuaskan. MBKM pada FIB UNDIP juga dapat masuk ke dalam SKPI atau juga mahasiswa dapat mengambil 9 matakuliah yang telah disediakan oleh Prodi masing masing. Program MBKM ini sangat penting untuk dikoordinasikan di awal semester dengan PA dan koorprodi untuk meminimalisir kesalahan data.”

Kegiatan kunjungan ke FIB UNDIP berlangsung dengan lancar dan hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan best practice yang dapat digunakan sebagai contoh penerapan dan management MBKM, selain ini kegiatan ini menghasilkan kerjasama yang dituangkan dalam PKS antara fakultas Sastra UM dengan FIB UNDIP yang bertujuan untuk sama sama memberikan manfaat untukkedua belah pihak. Harapan dengan diadakannya kegiatan ini adalah dapat meningkatkan kualitas kinerja organisasi dan pengelolaan MBKM dengan menjalin relasi dan mempererat komunikasi.

Rabu, 06 September 2023 Tim Satgas MBKM FS UM melakukan kunjungan dalam rangka kerjasama terkaitpelaksanaan MBKM di Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Kegiatan ini dihadiri langsung oleh Dekanat FBS UNNES, yaitu Dr. Tommy Yuniawan, M.Hum, selaku Dekan FBS UNNES, Dr. Eko Raharjo, M.Hum selaku Wakil Dekan 1 FBS UNNES, Muhammad Burhanudin, S.S., M.A., selaku Wakil Dekan 2 FBS UNNES, dan M. Yusuf Ahmad Hasyim, Ph.D., selaku Wakil Dekan 3 FBS UNNES dan Kaprodi yang ada di FBS UNNES. Sedangkan tim dari UM dipimpin oleh Evynurul Laily Zein, Ph.D., selaku Wakil Dekan 1 FS UM. Tepat pukul 13.00 WIB acara dimulai di ruang Sidang Senat FBS UNNES.

Acara dibuka dengan sambutan oleh Dekan FBS UNNES Bapak Dr. Tommy Yuniawan, M.Hum dalam sambutan, beliau menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan semacam ini harus tetap terjalin dan semoga terus berlanjut, jadi tidak hanya di bidang riset saja, tapi kolaborasi dalam berbagai bidangpun dapat diterapkan. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan sambutan dari Wakil Dekan 1 FS UM Ibu Evynurul Laily Zein, Ph.D yang dalam sambutannya beliau menyampaikan bahwa tujuan hadirnya di FBS UNNES adalah untuk brainstorming tentang kebijakan dan Kurikulum MBKM di UNNES secara Lembaga maupun di tingkat Fakultas selama ini dan juga dengan dilakukannya penandatanganan MoA sebagai Kerjasama antara FS UM dengan FBS UNNES umumnya, dan khususnya Satgas MBKM FS UM dengan Gugus MBKM FBS UNNES. Kegiatan dilanjutkan denganpenyerahan cindera mata.

Setelah itu, diskusi mengenai kegiatan MBKM di FBS UNNES dan FS UM membahas tentang proses pelaksanaan MBKM yang selama ini telah dilakukan di FBS UNNES dan FS UM. Ketua Tim Gugus MBKM FBS UNNES, Ibu Thohiriyah, M.Hum., menyampaikan bahwa selama ini kegiatan MBKM di FBS UNNES dilakukan dengan beberapa pilihan BKP MBKM sesuai arahan Kementerian, namun ada juga BKP MBKM Mandiri untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa yang belum lolos BKP Kementerian, sehingga mahasiswa tetap bisa mengikuti MBKM dengan opsi yang telah disediakan, dan ada aplikasi khusus yang disebut SIM-MBKM untuk mempermudah administrasi program BKP MBKM di UNNES. Sejalan dengan yang telah dilakukan di FBS UNNES, Ketua Tim Satgas MBKM FS UM, Bapak Nanang Zubaidi, Ph.D menyampaikan bahwa pada dasarnya di FS UM telah melakukan hal yang sama terkait BKP MBKM dan letak perbedaannya pada kegiatan mahasiswa yang dilakukan di luar negeri (student exchange mobility) yang telah direalisasikan.

Disamping diskusi mengenai MBKM, tim Gugus Kerjasama juga menyampaikan terkait pertukaran mahasiswa luar negeri yang sudah berjalan sebelum pandemi secara offline, namun saat pandemi kegiatan tersebut dilakukan secara online hingga sekarang. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan foto Bersama dengan keluarga besar UNNES.
