Kota Malang – Pendidikan Seni Tari dan Musik Fakultas Sastra Universitas Negeri Malang menggelar lokakarya bertajuk Workshop Tarian Tradisional yang berlangsung pada tanggal 14-15 September 2023. Kegiatan yang berlangsung di Gedung Sasana Krida Universitas Negeri Malang ini diikuti oleh puluhan peserta yang merupakan mahasiswa internal, guru seni budaya, serta peserta umum.
Workshop Tari Tradisional yang merupakan kegiatan tahunan dari Progam StudiPendidikan Seni Tari dan Musik (PSTM) UM ini mengangkat tema “Keberagaman Tari Nusantara”. Tema tersebut sekaligus mencerminkan tujuan dari kegiatan ini, yakni untuk mengenalkan keterampilan praktis seputar tari nusantara, khususnya tarian lokal seperti Tari Merak, Tari Makarena, pola gerak Wayang Orang, dan sebagainya. Selain workshop ini, progam kerja Prodi PSTM 2023 juga meliputi rangkaian acara lain, yakni seminar nasional dan seminar internasional.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri dan dibuka oleh Wakil Dekan II Fakultas Sastra, Dr. Edy Hidayat, S.Pd, M.Hum yang didampingi oleh ketua Departemen Seni dan Desain, Dr. Wida Rahayuningtyas , S.Pd, M.Pd. Melalui sambutannya, Dr. Edy mengharapkan agar kegiatan ini dapat menjadi agenda rutin yang nantinya akan menambah capaian Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) dari Universitas maupun Fakultas.
Sementara itu, Dr. Wida yang juga merupakan ketua pelaksana kegiatan ini juga mengharapkan agar kegiatan ini dapat menjadi bekal bagi peserta dalam pengetahuan tarian nusantara. “Harapannya, kegiatan ini dapat memberikan referensi lain seputar tari dan tradisi di nusantara, tak hanya tarian tradisional Jawa Timur,” ungkapnya.
Lokakarya yang berlangsung mulai pukul 8 pagi hingga 4 sore ini menghadirkan beberapa pemateri yang merupakan seniman atau praktisi di bidang tari nusantara. Mereka adalah Dr. Heni Komalasari, M.Pd dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Bandung; Dr. R. Djoko Prakosa, M.Sn dari Institut Kesenian Wilwatikta Surabaya; Rahma M, S.Pd., M.Sn dari Universitas Negeri Makassar; dan Gabriel Manuel, M.Sn dari Museum Provinsi Kalimantan Barat Pontianak. Secara bergantian, mereka memaparkan materi menarik yang disertai dengan praktek maupun preview dan disambung dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab.
