Monday 4 February 2019, FS received a visit from students of SMA Negeri 2 Sumenep Madura in the context of Fieldwork Practices for Class XII Students with a Specialization in Language and Culture. This visit aims to increase students' interest and attractiveness towards language, practice foreign language skills, provide new insights into campus life, and as a means of assessing foreign language practice for students.
Accompanied by 17 language teachers, the 69 students were welcomed by the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Almuni at the AVA Hall, E6 Building, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Letters, UM. The enthusiasm of the students was felt when Vice Dean III explained the challenge of the new student admission mechanism with achievement and elaboration pathways to get several government and private scholarships.

Praise be to the presence of the most gracious Allah who has bestowed His grace and guidance so that this book can be completed on time. This book comes from the results of research with the title Process Indonesian Literary Kreataif which in general aims to formulate a basic theory of the creative process of Indonesian writers. With that aim, the research results are expected to be utilized by observers of literary education, especially learning creative literary writing, both in schools and colleges.
Literary works are composed by writers. Of course this is with the permission and grace of God who has given creative power to writers. Therefore, if we want to understand literary works, our understanding will be better if we are accompanied by an understanding of the writer and the creative process he goes through. If we are familiar with writers and their creative processes, we can also better understand their literary works.
In line with these objectives, the research design used is art criticism research design or hermeneutic. Hermeneutics is a method of textual analysis related to the sociocultural influence of history. This research data is in the form of written verbal data. This data contains (1) the provisions needed by Indonesian writers in the creative process, (2) the creative process carried out by Indonesian writers before, during, and after writing literary works. and (3) the types of Indonesian writers based on their creative processes. The data of this study are derived from natural written texts. The data sources of this research are writings on biographies and writers' admissions about their creative processes or writings about the creative processes of a writer.

Faculty of Letters (FS) UM received a visit from MA Darun Najah Lumajang
FS UM received a visit from MA Darun Najah. The visit was carried out to foster good relations with the university as well as to introduce the campus education environment to students. The group was welcomed at the AVA Hall, Faculty of Letters, E6 Building, on Friday, January 25, 2019.
The group consisted of 43 students from 3 departments, namely Science, Social Sciences, and Religious. The principal of the MA school, Mr. Saifur Ridla, S.PdI, stated that this visit was motivated by the relatively low interest of MA Darul Najah students to continue to university. Therefore, through this activity, it is hoped that MA Darun Najah students can directly see the activities of the academic community and FS UM facilities.
This visit was welcomed by the Vice Dean 3 FS for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Yusuf Hanafi, S.Ag, M.Fil. In his remarks, he hoped that MA Darun Najah students could be active and productive in this visit. His remarks continued with an introduction to the history of the university and the distribution of departments and study programs in the Faculty of Letters.
The event continued with visiting SAC English, Arabic, German / Mandarin, and the Art Studio at E8 Building.
