The development of the art world has now moved so fast. Many new art forms have been presented by art actors to enliven the art world in Indonesia. Art is indeed something that will never be timeless and eroded out by the passage of time. Art will continue to live as long as the artist is still eager to channel the turmoil of artistic inspiration and the aspirations of thinking from within himself.
One of the forms of channeling the fluctuation of talents and interests in the art field was the holding of the 24th Pelangi Theater Members Training and Education. The 24th Member Training of Pelangi Theater is a form of appreciation from the Pelangi Theater Malang-Indonesia extended family for the development of the art world and as a forum for creativity for all members of the Pelangi Theater community, especially for prospective new members and the Pelangi Theater extended family.
In this 24th Pelangi Theater Members Training and Education we carry the theme "Theater: as a vehicle for educational expression", with the process of training and inauguration of new members, there will be a lot of new talents emerging, various characters will be found, and there are many works that will continue to be born from the Pelangi Theater family as a form of proof to ourselves that we continue to produce works. works in the presence of regeneration.

Final Lomba Esai Nasional SAFIK 2018 dengan tema “Merawat Keberagaman Budaya Nusantara di Era Milenial dalam Menghadapi Tantangan Global” dan Seminar Nasional dengan tema “Tantangan Generasi Milenial dalam Menghadapi Bonus Demografi melalui Khasanah Kebudayaan Indonesia” yang diselenggarakan dalam rangkaian kegiatan Semarak Festival Keilmiahan (SAFIK) 2018.
Peserta delegasi UM atas nama Ahmad Junaidi dari Jurusan Sastra Indonesia berhasil meraih Juara 1 dalam Lomba Cerpen Nasional dengan judul karya “Hikayat Orang-orang Gila dan Bujuk Cemanis” yang diselenggarakan oleh Saseru Study Club dalam Semarak Festival Keilmiahan (SAFIK) 2018. Peserta delegasi UM atas nama Ahmad Junaidi dari Jurusan Sastra Indonesia berhasil meraih juara 1 Lomba Esai Nasional dengan judul karya “PALLAWA (Peta Folklor Wilayah Nusantara) Berbasis Android untuk Meningkatkan Kesadaran Masyarakat terhadap Nilai-nilai Situs Sejarah” yang diselenggarakan oleh Saseru Study Club dalam Semarak Festival Keilmiahan (SAFIK) 2018. Mendapatkan penghargaan dan fasilitas berupa trofi, sertifikat, uang pembinaan, seminar kit, dan konsumsi selama kegiatan. Melakukan kegiatan field trip dengan finalis lomba esai nasional SAFIK 2018 ke Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta, Alun-alun dan Pusat Kota. Mengikuti Seminar Nasional SAFIK 2018 dengan Tema “Tantangan Generasi Milenial dalam Menghadapi Bonus Demografi melalui Khasanah Kebudayaan Indonesia” dengan pemateri Han Gagas (Cerpenis) dan Bandung Mawardi (Esais) pada puncak serangkaian kegiatan SAFIK 2018 di Ruang Seminar Ged. III FIB UNS.
The Student Association of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program Student Council Department of Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of Language and Literature, Makassar State University (Himaprodi PBSI DEMA JBSI FBS UNM) plans to hold a Seminar on Indonesian Language and Literature with the theme "Cultural Responsive Indonesian Language and Literature for Strengthening National Character in the Industrial Era 4.0 ". The "Narrative 2018" Language and Literature Seminar was held with the aim of exploring academic ideas from lecturers, students, teachers, and language observers. Not only that, this activity was also formulated with the intention of being a form of language development and character education in Indonesia.
The seminar was held on 17-18 November 2018 with three main speakers. The speakers included, Prof. Imam Suyitno, M.Pd is a professor of the Department of Indonesian Literature, FS UM, Prof. Dr. A Suminto Sayuti is a professor at the Department of Indonesian Literature, UNY, and Dr. Salam, M.Pd is a lecturer at PBSI, Makassar State University. Furthermore, the paper presentation event was attended by 75 papers by speakers from all over Indonesia. There were two teams selected for the delegation from State University of Malang. First, the team from Asyifa Alifia and Fatimatuz Zahro are students of Indonesian literature class 2015. Second, the team from Ary Kusuma Wardhani and Claudia Larassati, students of Indonesian language, literature, and regional education class 2016. With this activity it is hoped that today's students will be more creative, active, and innovative. Besides that, keep learning and dare to work to develop one's potential.
The exhibition of life-based learning development innovation works was held for 2 days at Graha Cakrawala on 21 and 22 November 2018. This exhibition was opened by the Rector of the State University of Malang Prof. Dr. AH. Rofi'uddin, M.Pd and attended by Indonesian innovator figures Prof. Onno W Purbo, M.Eng., Ph.D. who is an Indonesian Telematics Expert, UM Learning Innovation Activist Prof. Dr. Djoko Saryono, M.Pd., and Dedy Permadi, Ph.D. Ministry of Communication and Informatics Expert Staff for Digital Policy.
The exhibition displays the works of lecturers and students from the development of science and technology-based learning products, each faculty displays an attractive stand that is visited by the public every day to be able to enjoy learning innovation products, even people are interested in applying it in their respective places.
The Faculty of Letters stand is one of the most visited stands, the community is enthusiastic about trying out learning websites (MOOC) which are displayed by 5 leading innovators of the Faculty of Letters, including Bleaching, Mending "Vitopeper" (Setiawan, S.Sos, M.IP) , Smart Editor (Ariva Luciandika, S.Pd, M.Pd), mbatik.sedesa.sastra.um.ac.id (Lisa Sidyawati, S.Pd., M.Pd), creativolution.um.ac.id (Abdul Rahman Prasetyo, S.Pd., M.Pd), and Teaching Videography of Ceramic Art (Dr. Ponimin, M.Hum). In the stand, ceramic and batik products were also displayed which were also selfie spots.
At the peak of the event, the best winners from each category were selected, the Faculty of Letters won in 3 categories, namely the 3rd winner for the best Innovator won by Ariva Luciandika, S.Pd, M.Pd, the 1st winner for the best Poster won by Dr. Ponimin., M.Hum, and the best Stand Champion chaired by Lisa Sidyawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. which then the innovation product can be applied to classroom learning. The Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Communication, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor held scientific activities, Call for Paper, Seminar, Workshop and Literacy Festival with the theme "Local Knowledge Literacy as a Solution to Disinformation in Local Perspectives". This activity is intended to provide knowledge on the importance of local local knowledge in empowering literacy education for the community to avoid the threat of disinformation.
