World Invention Technology Expo and International Young Inventors Awards is an event organized by Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA).
This event was held on 9-12 October 2019 at Sasana Kriya and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Keong Emas Theater. In total there are around 200 groups from Indonesia and other countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Poland, America, Vietnam, and so on. Rahadian Dimas Dody, a student majoring in English Literature, class of 2016, joined the competition with 3 students from FMIPA. The works that are appointed are Monoaural Beats Music as an Alternative in Increasing Learning Concentration of Down Syndrome Students. The announcement was made on October 12, 2019 at the TMII Keong Emas Theater. This work won a silver medal.

The International Industrial Revolution 4.0 Exposition 2019 (IREx) is an international-scale invention competition held by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Kedah, Malaysia. This activity was held on 19 September 2019. A total of 120 participants in the activity came from countries in Southeast Asia.
Rahadian Dimas Dody, student majoring in English Literature (FS) together with Deni Ainur (FMIPA), Nur Indah A (FMIPA), Risky (FMIPA), Nur Wagis (FIP), Nur Laili (FIP) participated in this competition by bringing two works (1) Sidoarjo MudFlow Electric and (2) Mr. JHAK.
The announcement and awarding session will be held on September 19, 2019 at 15.00. The results obtained from the competition are the Gold Medal and Best Booth for the work of Sidoarjo MudFlow Electric. As for the work of Mr. JHAK received a Silver Medal.
A few days ago student representatives from the Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang
participating in an English debate competition at the State University of Jember. This annual competition
it is called "Jurisdiction" which this competition can already be categorized as one
competition that was anticipated by debaters all over Indonesia. Apart from that, the core jury was on duty
running competitions also comes from debaters who have experience in debating as well
a qualified judge.
Faculty of Letters students who had the opportunity to participate in the event
are Faris Yusron M and Abdul Halim who are members of Team A and Tamima
Rubbama F and Roza Damayanti as team B. All students who come from
The English Department is part of the Valiant community (language debate community
English) who are actively engaged in debate in English.
Unfortunately, the results obtained were not very satisfying where both team A were only able to
compete until the semifinals. The race stages that must be passed are the rounds
preliminary, semi-final, and grand final which at that time there were 2 teams from UBAYA, 1 team from
ITS, and 1 team from POLINEMA who competed in the final round. Even so, it can
participating and being able to qualify for the semifinals is a valuable experience
can not be obtained from anywhere, can chance to fight debaters from
other universities are also invaluable. Hopefully with
this experience can share their experience with other Valiant members
and in the future will be able to achieve more satisfying achievements.
The UPT of Tidar University Library in September 2019 to be exact held a National Seminar & Call for Paper with the theme "Increasing Literacy Culture in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0". This seminar was attended by approximately 85 participants and experts from the Call for Paper. The speaker of this seminar was amazing, because Dr. Muhammad Rohmadi. M. Hum, a Head of the Sebelas Maret University Library and Ida Fajar Priyatno, PhD, a Lecturer in Information Management and Libraries at the Postgraduate School of Gadjah Mada University. The Call for Papers that were collected at this event had the theme "Improving Literacy Culture in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0".
The Library Science Student Delegation who was also present and participated in the Call for Paper and National Seminar was Iffa Maisyaroh and Zahrotul Hurriyyah. The two students submitted a paper entitled "Development of a Literacy Culture by the Young Generation through a Digital Platform". The essence of this paper is to invite the younger generation to mutually develop a culture of literacy and creativity in packaging information to be attractive, concise and easy to understand. Because most of the younger generation likes reading that is light, concise, interesting and easy to understand.
The results of this Call for Paper paper have been made into books or proceedings which are distributed to each author and will be uploaded to the Tidar University Library repository.
The 2019 National Agritech Festival and Exhibition (NAFTEX) Business Plan Competition takes place at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Brawijaya which is an annual event and for this year it will be held on September 20-22 2019.
